Lazy S Ranch is a family-owned seedstock operation located west of Edmonton, Alberta, in the Mayerthorpe area. Founded in 1968 by Stewart and Doreen Ainsworth, the ranch has grown into a 800-head cow-calf operation built on nearly 60 years of disciplined selection and hard-earned consistency.

Today, Lazy S Ranch is owned and operated by the Ainsworth family and continues to focus on what has always mattered most — raising cattle that perform in real-world conditions. The Lazy S program produces Red and Black Simmental, Angus, and SimAngus (Beefmaker) bulls selected from a powerful cow herd of over 800 productive females. Every generation is carefully hand-picked and sorted for success, ensuring bulls that are sound, functional, and built to last.

Each January, Lazy S Ranch markets over 160 breeding bulls through its Annual Bull Power Sale. We believe in taking care of our customers. That’s why we offer free wintering, free delivery on qualifying bulls, flexible payment options and genetics that have been working for cattlemen across Canada and the U.S. for over 57 years.
