At Lazy S we are proud to own eleven #1 progeny proven Simmental herd sires!
These Sires rank in the Top 1% in North America for Calving Ease, Marbling, Carcass Wt, REA, Grade Fat as well as many that rank in the top 2 to 10% for growth traits such as Weaning Wt, Yearling Wt as well as Maternal Calving Ease. Watch for sons of these elite sires selling at our Annual Bull Power Sale, the last Saturday of January at the Ranch, Mayerthorpe, Alberta. Annual Bull Power Sale!
Each year Lazy S Ranch offers 200 bulls for sale by the following Black and Red Simmentals, Black and Red Angus sires at our Annual Bull Power Sale held in January.

At Lazy S our Black Simmental Bulls are
multi-generation black and polled. They are solid black or blazed
faced. Birth weights are moderate and their calves are vigourous
at birth. Herd bulls are selected for superior perfomance
and maternal traits, fleshing ability, soundness of feet & legs
with solid carcass performance....buyers are looking for
good black-hided calves that marble and yield.... these
Black Simmentals are proven to do just that. They also
work extremely well in a crossbreeding program with british
based cows such as angus or hereford, daughters will have
retained heterois and added productivity. |

The Lazy S Red Simmental bulls are multi-generationally red and polled. They are solid
colored or blaze faced. Birth weights are moderate, and they
are selected for superior performance and maternal traits,
calving ease, disposition, fleshing ability and carcass traits
and of course sound feet and legs. Many of our herd bulls
are North American trait leaders for calving ease, performance
and carcass traits such as marbling and Yield grade.....their
offspring can come off the cow in the fall and go onto feed....they
generally will finish out at 12 to 14 months of age and fit
the specs for the grid. This breed line is becoming popular
among commercial cattlemen seeking an alternative to straight
Angus to strengthen perfomance, ribeye, yield and carcass
weight.

At Lazy S our red and black Angus
bulls are selected for calving ease, maternal, performance,
with soundness of feet & legs and abundance of muscle & hip,
we also select bulls with exceptional carcass merit, that
marble and yield.
Cross this breed line with either
the Red or Black
Simmental and you will love the results. We truly believe
our Angus program is coming of age, we just need more of them! |
